I have finished reading Escape From Lucania. The novel was good . in my opinion , however much of the information did not matter or relate exactly to the book. There was a lot of background information about mountaineering when I though the books true meaning came from the survival and team work of the two main protagonists , Bob and Brad.
Their journey begins when asked to map unmarked territory in North America. They acquire a very highly skilled pilot to fly them in and begin a journey through avalanches , freakish weather patterns ( for a mountain ), crevasses, while having a small amount of supplies. They use their style of climbing referred to as "fast and light" to climb several peaks and escape from the mountainous territory with barely and food or fat on their bodies.

I read Escape From Lucania by David Roberts. This novel is about two mountaineers on a voyage through unmarked territory in the mountainous region of North America. One key element in this book is friendship and teamwork. During the novel the two must not only be each others only human company for over a month , but must work together too survive.
During the novel the two friends , Bob and Brad, cooperate amazingly with no big arguments. They also work together to defeat the mountains odd weather and treacherous slopes. From freeing a plane in a near possible take off zone , to rationing food together and staying warm , Bob and Brad used teamwork and their friendship to help them pass the countless boring hours and conquer the expedition.

Sherlock Holmes Review
Sherlock Holmes in my opinion is a great film from what i saw. I did miss a section of the film but I watched the majority. One thing I enjoyed was the constant action. Each scene seemed to have a dramatic part to it or a scene of fighting. This made it so I stayed interested in the movie.
Another thing I liked was the acting. The actors fit their roles very well , especially the actor who played Sherlock Holmes. He was funny and intelligent , like many of the characters were. Also , the other main acting parts were casted by good actors who took on their roles well.
I saw Sherlock Holmes 2 recently and that film was phenomenal , as well. I recommend it to anyone reading this post.

I am reading Escape From Lusania by David Roberts. It is a story about two men who set on a journey to climb the highest unclimbed peak in North America. They run into issues and have to struggle to survive. Through their journey they successfully make it to the peak but then to navigate out of the dangerous mountain.
This book interested me because I like suspenseful action novels. I am also interested to find out how the two men survive on their journey up the peak of the mountain. The authors use of detailed descriptions also caught my eye when I was deciding what book to read.

The curious incident of the dog in the night-time review
I did not especially enjoy this book, although it wasn't bad. The way it was written got very boring to read at times , however it was interesting to see the point of view of the protagonist , Christopher.
The book is about an autistic boy who finds his neighbors dog dead. He spends his time trying to figure out the mystery of who killed the dog. He enjoys mysterys and thorugh the novel he discovers things about his life and how he views things.

Henry David Thoreau
Henry David Thoreau believed that in order to live well, we must reduce the number of material goods we have. Otherwise, these things begin to dominate us. I agree with this statement. People are very dependent on technology and purchased goods. For thousands of years people lived without electronics and many of the inventions we have today , and they survived and lived fine.
However, I also believe the amount of material goods we have at our disposal to use and purchase is very convenient and it shows how we have progressed through time. I think that technology can begin to dominate us if we become to dependent on it but, it is also very beneficial to the way we live in the world today. Without some of the material goods we have life could be harder and worse than with them.
